Modena NY| The Plattekill Public Library asked Allen Ross Architecture to design a new library facility to expand their growing operation. The new building will allow for many more books and includes a separate, acoustically isolated, children’s room, large stacks/reading area, separate private reading/study rooms, bathrooms, and offices. An elevator provides access to the lower level which has a teen/game room, a makerspace, plenty of storage, and mechanical spaces.
The entire facility is accessible, uses efficient electric heat pumps for heating and cooling, and will allow the Plattekill Public Library to grow into the 21st century.
